The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, operating, and optimizing cloud infrastructures on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
This is a technical, hands-on engineering role, not an architecture position.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy and manage AWS and Azure cloud environments.
Operate and support production systems (monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization).
Manage core cloud services:
Compute, Storage, Networking
IAM and security controls
Backup, DR, and high availability
Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
Support cloud migrations and modernization projects.
Work closely with networking and security teams.
Implement cost optimization strategies (FinOps).
Maintain technical documentation.
Provide advanced (L3) support when required.
Technical Requirements
Cloud Platforms
5+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure.
AWS: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Load Balancing.
Azure: VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, Monitoring.
DevOps & Systems
Linux administration.
Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab).
Docker and basic Kubernetes (AKS/EKS preferred).
Networking & Security
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
Cloud security best practices.
Experience collaborating with security teams.
